Listen and let go

And then it happens.
You look around and everything has somehow gone pear-shaped.
The noise, the chaos, the disturbance and then the anxiety sets in.
The feeling that no matter what you know to be true, it seems futile at this stage, to gather yourself or your thoughts and try to figure out what to do next. It’s just too much.
And so you just need to stop. As overwhelming as this all is, you just need to do one thing. Breathe. Be still and inhale and then exhale. In the spaces within the process, a respite will come. A fleeting moment, where you are more easily able to center more on your breath and then you take another.
As the pauses and spaces become more conjoined, there will be a glimmer of light. Lean into that. That leads the way out. With every breath, every muscle letting go ever so slightly, and with every inkling of calm you are able to quiet the noise, the frantic bustle and slowly take hold of the jumbled thoughts.
Source and silence are on the other side of these breaths amidst the chaos. We just need to hold on. Breathe and surrender. With the surrender, you know that you are being cared for and all you need do is to let go, breathe, listen and receive.
Listen to the whispers within the silent breath and be guided.
Where would you have me go? What would you have me do? What would you have me say? And to whom?
Say that and then listen with ease as the chaos retreats.
